Borrowing & Requesting Service Updates for January 2024
Following a system migration, most library services have been restored.
Remaining Services are Expected to Resume as Follows:
EZBorrow Requesting
EZBorrow requesting will return on January 22.
Starting Monday, January 22, users can once again request directly from EZBorrow.
NYUAD & NYUSH Only: from Jan 8 to Feb 1
A portion of our ebook records will not be included in our local library catalog during this transition period. Search NYU's main library catalog for a full listing of ebooks, videos, and other e-resources.
All journals, articles, and databases as well as Ebook Central ebooks are currently included in our local catalog. By February 1, we expect all e-resources to be listed in NY, Abu Dhabi, and Shanghai library catalogs.

Update
Borrowing & Requesting Service Updates for December 2023 and January 2024
Due to a system migration, circulation services are different in December and January.
Services are Expected to Resume as Follows:
Wed. Jan 3 - Sun. Jan 7
Stacks self-service for available onsite items
Pickup for requested items processed before Dec. 22
Limited in-person circulation services
Mon. Jan 8
Scan requests and paging requests for locally available items, including material held offsite
Online loan renewals
After Jan 8
Self-checkout machines will be brought online at available locations on a rolling basis.
EZBorrow requesting will be available later in January. Eligible patrons may request books through ILL at any time, but some requests may take longer to process until the end of January.
Jan. 17 (new update): Bobst locker delivery requests placed in 2024 will start to be available for pickup
Bobst Locker delivery lockers will be moved back to the first floor the week of Jan. 8, but won't be operational immediately.
The expected earliest day for new NY Bobst Locker deliveries will be Wednesday, January 17.
If you need an item earlier than that date, please choose NYU Bobst instead for pickup during open hours.

Due dates for regular items will be pushed to January (excludes tech loans and reserves materials)
Items returned the last week of the semester may still show up as “checked out” in your account until January. These are not considered overdue, and the Libraries will not send overdue messages.
Accounts will be updated when the Libraries reopens in January

Borrowing & Requesting Changes for Dec. 2023 & Jan. 2024
Due to a system migration, circulation services are different this December and January.
Due dates for regular items will be pushed to January (excludes tech loans and reserves materials)
Items returned the last week of the semester may still show up as “checked out” in your account until January. These are not considered overdue, and the Libraries will not send overdue messages.
Accounts will be updated when the Libraries reopens in January
Important Service Changes
Fri. Dec. 8 - last day to place EZBorrow Request
Place requests by 5:00pm (ET)
After Dec. 8, use Interlibrary Loan as alternative
Mon. Dec. 18 - last day to place a request for pick up or delivery, including materials labeled “offsite”.
Self-service from the stacks is available. Find the item you want on the shelf and check it out on-site. Visit the circulation desk if you need assistance.
Pick up and delivery services will return in January 2024
Thurs. Dec. 21 - last day Library Accounts will be updated / last day to renew items
Changes made to your Library Account or the status of borrowed/returned items will not be reflected in your account until January.
No email communications about library accounts will be sent out
